Where do you live?
I live in Winona, Minnesota. I’ve been with HCO for about 30 years.
Where do you work?
I am currently retired. I have had three different jobs throughout my life though. I used to work at Econo Foods and I was responsible for cleaning up accidentally dropped items and keeping the parking lot clean. I worked a Bay State as well. There I took out the garbage, wiped down tables and vacuumed the rugs. I also used to work on my family farm while growing up. I helped milk cows, plant corn and cut hay.
What do you like to do on your free time?
I enjoy coloring, bird watching, gardening and listening to music.
What is your favorite tv show/movie?
I enjoy watching vet shows and Gunsmoke.
Do you have a favorite band/song/genre?
I like all country music!
Do you help with cooking? What is your favorite meal?
I help cook my own food. My favorite meal would have to be a good fish fry.
Where do you like to go out to eat?
I like having dinner at Perkins. I enjoy the fish dinner the most and having lemon meringue pie for dessert.
What is your favorite holiday?
I really like Christmas.
What is your favorite season?
I enjoy Spring when everything comes back to life.
Tell us about where you grew up.
I grew up with my grandparents on their farm. It was really nice living on a farm but it was a lot of work every day. I enjoyed all the animals and being in the fields – besides when it was awful hot.
Are you a morning or night person?
I am definitely a night person.
Do you have any goals for the future?
My goal is to continue enjoying retirement.
What do you like about HCO?
I enjoy HCO because everyone here is so nice.
