My semester at Home and Community Options has been educational and eye-opening. As a writing intern, my tasks have included interviewing directors, transcribing interviews, and writing narratives about their time at the agency. I also did so for a few individuals and helped with event articles and advertisements. Through getting to know the people at the agency, as well as being given a supportive and welcoming space to write creatively, I have learned that agencies like Home and Community Options are where I would like to work in the future.
