Zach began his martial arts journey at the age of 21, inspired by shows he grew up watching, like Power Rangers, Kickin’ It, and Cobra Kai. When asked what martial arts means to him, he said it’s all about “honor and respect.” He trains at the Monahan Martial Arts Center, where he enjoys working with Sensei Ralph Monahan, who has been a great mentor. Zach has ambitious goals for his martial arts path; he recently earned his brown belt and aims to achieve his black belt in the future. He has a strong support system, including his parents, sisters, and nephews, who were all there to celebrate his brown belt achievement which was such a special moment! Zach typically trains once a week but often adds extra practice sessions just for fun, motivated by his desire to improve. Outside the studio, he loves playing basketball, lifting weights, drawing, swimming, and biking. His dedication and enthusiasm for martial arts not only inspires those around him but also reflects his belief that hard work pays off. Watching individuals like Zach thrive in their passions is truly rewarding. Thank you, Zach, for showing us that with determination, anything is possible!
