Welcome, Nicholas Modjeski

Nicholas’s roots trace back to Winona, where he spent his formative years before transitioning to life on a country farm near Nodine during his teenage years.

He graduated from Winona Senior High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, where he studied biology and chemistry.  He attended medical school at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities and completed a family medicine residency at United Family Medicine in St. Paul.  He has been with Winona Health for almost 15 years.

During his residency, Nicholas married his wife, and they have been blessed with three children.

When asked what motivated him to become in involved with HCO’s Board, Nick shared “I have personal experience with HCO, as my older brother has been a resident with HCO for many years.  I have found through the years that the staff are incredible.  Home and Community Options is an exceptional organization that provides an essential service for the community.”

He hopes that his background in healthcare, coupled with his board experience at Winona Health, could potentially contribute valuable insights to the organizational decision-making processes of HCO.

“The people at HCO are amazing.  The care delivered has always been exceptional.  The service is high quality,” Nick shared.  “I have always been I impressed with the compassionate care demonstrated by the staff at Home and Community Options.  Keep up your amazing work!  You make an incredible difference to the individuals served through HCO.”
