Home and Community Options is a member of the Winona Area Nonprofit Alliance (WANA). This alliance is comprised of nonprofit groups from Winona and the surrounding community. WANA is a large, vibrant network of over 50 of the Winona area’s nonprofit organizations of all sizes that gathers to collaborate on programs and services, network and share resources, and maximize community impact.
WANA regularly offers morning and evening group meeting opportunities at various locations throughout the Winona Community. These meetings are opportunities for member organizations to gather together to collaborate, share about events, opportunities, and needs, and also provides opportunities for professional development.
In February, HCO hosted one of the WANA’s large group gatherings. It was a wonderful evening and we enjoyed sharing our space with our community again! Organizational representatives were able to connect with one another, network, develop new relationships, and reconnect with former neighbors and colleagues. Nonprofit organizations offer many unique opportunities in the Winona community and surrounding areas, and collaborating to hear about what each organization is doing is heartwarming. Hosting and attending these meetings allows HCO to bring awareness to the mission we strive to fulfill every day. Home and Community Options is fortunate to have opportunities to build connections, share resources, and partner with other nonprofits through the Winona Area Nonprofit Alliance.
