Kate is from Milwaukee, WI. When she was 14, she started working with a neighbor who had a disability and wanted to continue that type of work when she went to college. She was hired at the 142 program in May of 2015 and also cross-trained at the 405 program for a short time. Kate has recently been promoted to a Program Assistant for the Saehler program.
She enjoys the community of people HCO is involved with and how the longer you are part of the agency the more you have the community connection. Kate was cast in the 2018 Musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, to provide support on stage to the individuals she works with, and she thought it was a lot of fun and really enjoyed the experience. She is looking forward to having the opportunity to work with younger clients and continuing to gain experience in direct care with her new program and job role.
Kate is a recent graduate of Winona State University with a degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. She enjoys the work that she does now, but would one day like to be a Chiropractor. She is a big sports fan and enjoys watching sports and hanging out with her friends. Kate has a cat, Hans, who is cross-eyed and likes to occupy her free time.
